Terri E. Jaggers
Terri Jaggers came to Sam Houston State University in 2008 after achieving success as both a businesswoman and community leader. Her passion for children’s issues, specifically foster children, has resulted in the raising of over $1 million for Texas organizations that assist foster children. In addition, she has been recognized with multiple proclamations and awards within both the private sector as well as government organizations for her legislative efforts and the implementation of National Adoption Month.
Terri regularly speaks at conferences and seminars as an expert and spokesperson for America’s foster care system. In addition, Terri owns a competitive women’s gymnastics and cheerleading facility in Houston and as a coach and motivational speaker has secured 15 State Championship and 11 National Championship athlete/team titles.
In 2008, after being crowned Mrs. Texas United States and Mrs. US America, Terri began her Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies here at Sam Houston State University maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Her hope was to teach speech communication and business communication skills to college students at a Texas University. She was hired by Sam Houston State University to be an Adjunct Professor in January 2010.
