The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a professional organization that promotes the ideas of human resource management. With membership exceeding 170,000 nationwide, SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. The Sam Houston State University chapter is heavily involved in networking with professionals in the human resource field and participates monthly with the Human Resource Houston chapter in meetings and seminars. The Society for Human Resource Management is open to everyone; all majors are welcomed.
