Introduction:

Block and Bridle is a national organization founded on animal science and philanthropy. Each fall our chapter hosts Children’s Barnyard which is designed to teach young students about the importance of agriculture. Our other events include Adopt-a-Highway trash pick-up. During the spring semester we host the annual department Crawfish Boil and washer tournament along with additional trash pick-ups. Our organization offers several service opportunities in hopes of developing well-rounded members who positively contribute to their university and community.

Membership:

Membership is open to all SHSU students regardless of major or minor. Dues for the organization are set at $5.00 a semester ($10/year).
