Welcome to SHSU’s Banner information and resource website!

In an effort to upgrade the University’s current administrative support system, SHSU has begun implementation of SunGard Higher Education’s Banner ERP solution.

Banner is a comprehensive computer information system that contains information on courses, students, faculty, and staff. Components of the Banner system to be implemented by SHSU include the Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources & Payroll, and Enrollment Management modules.

Once fully implemented, students, faculty, and staff will be able to use Banner for a wide variety of business as well as academic activities.  One goal of this project is a more efficient, effective, and productive university that continues to provide superior customer service to our students and faculty, primarily accomplished through improved information access and management.

Your SHSU Banner Project Management Team is:

Jacob Chandler

Director of Administrative Applications

Project Manager

Kristofer Rothe

IR Project Coordinator

Stephanie Brim

IR Marketing Coordinator

Message from Executive Sponsors (11/09/2009):

Due to some issues and to provide an objective third party evaluation, we have decided to migrate from a SunGard project manager to another company for the Banner ERP process.  Based upon this decision, we have issued an RFP for consulting services related to project management and knowledge for a Banner ERP implementation.  While the RFP process occurs, we have hired Strata Information Group(SIG) to provide a project manager.  If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to contact Heather Thielemann, Dana Gibson, Mark Adams, or Jacob Chandler.   All of us appreciate your efforts in this important project and will provide more information as it is available.
