  • September:
    • Meeting 9/11, LSC 306, 1p.m. - 2p.m: General Assembly with Free Pizza and Refreshments.
    • Officer/Volunteer's Meeting 9/19, LSC Downstairs Atrium, 6p.m. - 7p.m.
    • Officer/Volunteer's Meeting 9/26, LSC Downstairs Atrium, 5p.m. - 6p.m.
  • October:
    • Bearkat Alley Tailgate Party 10/06, 4p.m. - 6p.m @ Bowers Stadium North Parking Lot - Volunteers Please Arrive at Noon.
    • Meeting 10/9, LSC 306, 1p.m. - 2p.m: Guest Speaker will be Dr. Bernice Strauss, Director of Academic Support Programs, to give a Time Management Seminar - Free Pizza and Refreshments.
    • Bearkat Alley Tailgate Party (Homecoming Week) 10/20, 11a.m. - 2p.m @ Bowers Stadium North Parking Lot - Volunteers Please Arrive at 8a.m.
    • Officer/Volunteer's Meeting 10/24, LSC Downstairs Atrium, 5:30p.m. - 6:30p.m.
    • Haunted Tours and Fest 10/27, 5p.m. - 10p.m @ the Old Main Pit next to Austin Hall.
    • Event includes Haunted Tours of Campus, Storytelling, Games with Prizes, Crafts, Face Painting, a Costume Contest, Free Hamburgers, Hotdogs and Refreshments.
    • Please Bring One Non-Perishable Food Item to be Donated to the Good Shepard Mission. Information Handouts will be Offered on Community Resource Organizations/Projects in Walker County.
  • November:
    • Meeting 11/13, LSC 306, 1p.m. - 2p.m: Guest Speaker will be Beverly Brinson from Homewatch Caregivers, to discuss "Caregiving in the Middle" - Free Pizza and Refreshments.
    • Tree of Light Ceremony 11/27, 6p.m. - 7p.m @ the LSC Mall Area. A Member of NTSO will Place a Decorated Ornament on the Tree - Free Holiday Cookies and Refreshments.
  • December:
    • Meeting 12/4, LSC 306, 1p.m. - 2p.m: Guest Speaker will be Dave Smith, Executive Director of the Good Shepard Mission, to discuss Volunteering, Donations Needed, and Services - Free Finger Sandwiches, Holiday Cookies, and Refreshments.


Spring Semester (Tentative):

  • January:
    • Meeting 1/22, LSC 331, 1p.m. - 2p.m: Guest Speaker will be Germaine Porcha, Coaching Expert to discuss her Experience as a Non-Traditional Student and Give Advice on How to Stay Motivated - Free Pizza and Refreshments.
  • February:
    • Meeting 2/12, LSC 331, 1p.m. - 2p.m: Guest Speaker will be Megan Moorman, Counselor from Career Services to discuss Resume Writing Tips and Techniques for Non-Traditional Students - Free Pizza and Refreshments.
  • March:
    • Meeting 3/18, LSC 331, 1p.m. - 2p.m: Guest Speaker will be Denise Ramsben, Counselor from Saafehouse/Walker County Women's Center to discuss Volunteering, Donations Needed, and Services - Free Pizza and Refreshments.
  • April:
    • Meeting 4/30, the LEMIT Building Dinning Hall, 6p.m. - 8p.m: General Assembly - Officer Elections will be held with a Pot Luck Dinner (Everyone is Welcome to Bring a Dish).
