Profile of Dr. Lisa Burrell
Dr. Lisa Burrell received her doctorate in Violin Performance from the University of Houston in 2002. She is currently on the faculty of Sam Houston State University and teaches privately in Houston and Klein ISD. Her students have participated regularly in All-City, Region and All-State Orchestras. She has served as a clinician in the Houston area for the last 5 years. She has been on the faculty of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp as concertmaster of the festival orchestra and as a member of the Blue Lake String Quartet. She is a current and founding member of the Key West Symphony and the Burrell-Blondel Duo. Her former teachers include Mark Rush, Mathias Tacke, Shmuel Ashkenasi and Lawrence Wheeler.
