University Advancement consists of six departments working together: Development, Alumni Relations, Public Relations, Marketing, Sam Houston Memorial Museum, and Advancement Services.  In conjunction with the colleges and other units of the University, this division has responsibility for advancing the University's overall mission. Through the cultivation and establishment of new relationships, and the continuance of ongoing relationships, the division promotes and encourages the continual growth of Sam Houston State University.

The Office of University Advancement is located in the Bobby K. Marks Building, Suite 120.
