**Important Information**

Now Advising For Summer I, II & Fall 2008!

SENIORS - NEW MANDATORY ADVISEMENT REQUIREMENT!!

Beginning with the 2007 Summer and Fall registration on March 26, students who will have completed 90 hours or more (including Spring 07) will be blocked unless they have been advised and cleared either at the SAM Center or by their departmental advisor, regardless of their overall GPA. This is to assure that students close to graduation are taking the correct courses.

Mandatory advisement also includes students

1. who have NO GPA at SHSU.
2. whose SHSU GPA is BELOW 2.5.
3. who have NOT completed TSI requirements.
4. who have 90 or MORE hours.


 

The Student Advising and Mentoring Center, also known as the SAM Center, offers a wide variety of services for the students of Sam Houston State University. We offer academic advisement and enrichment services to all undergraduate and graduate students. The SAM Center is a resource dedicated to helping students adjust to academic life at Sam Houston State University. Services available include career testing, aid with time management, and study skills.
