2-23	Summer Study Skills Workshop Series I: four, one-hour study skills sessions that will discuss "introduction to study skills," procrastination, time management, reading textbooks, test taking and stress management. Monday sessions will be held at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the SAM Center. SHSU 'In the News'

Larry Hoover, professor of criminal justice, was interviewed by Houston Channel 11 for a two-part series on the Houston Police Department's Crime Response Unit. Hoover said such blanket enforcement tactics can reduce crime by 20 percent, but there is a danger of overzealous policing infringing on constitutional rights.
