Sabin Holland, director of innovative collaborative programs for SHSU's Texas Research Institute for Environmental Studies, was featured in The Wall Street Journal's MarketWatch section for the "new self-sustaining, portable, and 'smart' wastewater treatment system" developed by TRIES and PCDworks, a technology innovation firm.
Willard Oliver, an associate professor of criminal justice, recently discussed the role of crime platforms between the presidential candidates in the 2008 election, as well as each candidate's stance on anti-crime initiatives, in an interview with the Washington, D.C., newspaper, The Washington Times.
David Gangitano, assistant professor of criminal justice, talked about the role of DNA in criminal investigations and how new techniques are making it possible to identify criminals with much smaller samples in an interview with the Houston Chronicle for a story marking the 20th anniversary the first Harris County conviction based on DNA.
