NRHH

The NRHH is the recognition branch of NACURH. NACURH, as an organization, truly believes that recognition is a must in a strong Residence Hall community. As such, NRHH is there to make sure that we do not forget to give those needed and more than deserved pats on the back. The basic way NRHH works on campus is through a chapter. NRHH chapters have a very special way of recognizing those top leaders, by membership. The NRHH chapter membership (per school) is restricted to 1% of students living in the residence halls. So, once inducted into NRHH you can consider yourself a member of the Top 1% of residence hall leaders. The NRHH national level consists of the national office. The National Office is responsible for affiliating NRHH chapters, selecting national OTM (Of The Month awards), designing the apparel line and a host of other tasks.

SHSU / Frank Cloud Chapter of NRHH
Sam Houston's NRHH is the Frank Cloud Chapter. Frank Cloud (November 14, 1939 – January 7, 1994) was the Director of Housing and Food Services at Sam Houston State University. In 1983, when Frank was diagnosed with CML, he began one of the most challenging journeys of his life; but he took that challenge and shaped it into a life's work and a personal joy. He virtually transformed his cancer experience into avenues of hope for literally thousands of others facing the same challenge.

Through his life and caring Frank gave us his joy, love, kindness, understanding, inspiration, and friendship. He left an indelible impact in our lives and an uncommon legacy of hope.

In his memory, we named our NRHH chapter after him in hopes that we can represent his courage and willingness to give.
