Laurie Orlando

Director of Marketing and Public Relations

Laurie Ann Orlando was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Catholic school her entire life and graduated from St. Pius X High School. Currently, she is a senior at SHSU and graduating in May 2008 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Mass Communications: Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. After graduation, Laurie plans to move back home with her parents in Tomball, Texas. Laurie would like to start a career in corporate event planning in the Houston area and eventually become a Certified Meeting Planner.

Laurie has been employed with Program Council since January 2005. She has previously held positions as Hispanic Heritage Chair and Spirit & Traditions Chair. Currently, Laurie is the Director of Public Relations. Laurie is also involved in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and serves as the Administrative Assistant.

In her free time, Laurie likes to spend time with her family & friends. She especially loves playing with  her two beautiful nieces Kaylie and Kenzie. Laurie enjoys cooking, listening to country music, and watching the Houston Astros! Go ASTROS!!!!!
