Meeting Minutes 1/25/06 – First Meeting

Eating and Introduction of the Officers

Christi –

•  Welcome new members

•  Talks this semester will be given by (in no particular order)

•  Dr. Williams

•  Dr. Primm

•  Dr. Kerrigan

•  Shirts – prices will be going down on the shirts

•  Forest Green shirts were voted the color of choice

•  No softball endorsement by the Club – sorry!

Heath –

•  Dues will be collected - no excuses – NO DUES NO EAT !

•  T-shirts will be redesigned and made so that they are less expensive

•  People who already paid for shirts last semester can consult Christi/Heath to get their money back or the difference of the two when the new shirts arrive

Diana –

•  ACS Affiliation

•  $30 a year – get a really cool magazine and a card to prove your membership

•  Discounts on conferences, help with jobs, etc.

•  Talk to Diana if you are interested and she will email with more details

•  If you are newly affiliated or have renewed please let Diana know so that she can put you on file.

Fundraising

•  Extremely important for the club and the scholarship

•  Gives an opportunity to make money and earn merit

•  Bake sales, goggle sales, coke sales, car wash

•  Suggestion can be made to Diana

 

Cheramie –

•  Vice President handles the food at meetings – all suggestions can be made to Cheramie

•  Cheramie could use some help to get the food ready and to the building due to scheduling conflicts with class
