Objective: Develop an action plan for the NCATE Initial Accreditation Review that describes actions to be taken, persons responsible, and timelines. NCATE guidelines need to be used in making these decisions and a draft copy of the plan should be completed by January 25, 2002.

Proposed Activities:
1. Engage in a strategic planning session to develop a strategic plan.
2. Share plan with all stakeholders and solicit responses to plan.
3. Revise and adopt plan
4. Monitor NCATE process and make changes as needed.

Objective: Using the current conceptual framework, state certification proficiencies, NCATE standards, and current educational literature, develop a concise statement which describes the conceptual framework on which the educator preparation programs are based and which includes a conceptual theme, a bibliography of current educational literature which supports that conceptual framework, and a glossary of terms which we will use to bring understanding to that framework and the NCATE documents. Draft available for faculty consideration by April 1, 2002.
