  • DO offer alternatives to questionable actions
  • DO educate parents as well as students
  • DO NOT use scare tactics
  • DO NOT use punitive threats
  • DO NOT use "Because I said so..."
QUICK STARTING 
INITIATIVE
  • PROVIDE accurate information.
  • POST COPYRIGHT NOTICES by machines, on tapes, etc.
  • INCORPORATE discussion of relevant issues into library research assignments.
  • INFORM faculty at meetings, in teacher handbooks, with memos, etc.
  • EXPLAIN AND INFORCE Acceptable User Policies (AUP's).
