FUN AND NIFTY QUICK TRICKS

PLANT SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES IN POWERPOINT! This is a fun
and easy way to add a little interest, and possibly humor, to a Powerpoint
production.

Create a text box with a word or phrase in it.

Select the box
-
Select the Animation Effects Tool. The button is a yellow
star.
-
Select Flash Once.
-
The word/phrase will flash on and off very quickly. Try
some of the other effects as well!

SELECT JUST THE RIGHT OBJECT IN POWERPOINT
-
When you are working on a slide and want to move around
between objects to format...
-
Hit Excape to be sure nothing is currently selected.
-
Hit Tab repeatedly to go through all objects.
-
USE AN IMAGE AS A WATERMARK IN WORD OR POWERPOINT
-
Insert the object.
-
Right click on the object or select Format Picture from
Toolbar
-
Select the tab called Picture.
-
From the dropdown menu for Color, select Watermark.
-
Voila! One thing you can do with this is create stationery.
Also good for PPT backgrounds.

Keyboard Tip: Open a new file in Word, PPT, Excel, or
your browser. Just hit Control/N!
-
Keyboard Tip: Change letter case quickly in PPT, Word,
etc. Highlight passage, then hit Shift/F3. This will toggle you between
all possible combinations.

Control C=Copy

Control V=Paste
-
Control P=Print
-
Control S=Save
-
Control Z=Undo what you just did...also called Panic Button

In Word, Excel, PPT--Would you like to see the keyboard
command when you run your mouse over a toolbar symbol?

Go to Tools>Customize.

Select the Tab called Options.
-
Select "Show ScreenTips on Toolbars" and "Show Sortcut
Keys in ScreenTips."

Would you like to get rid of those annoying short menus
in MS Office?

Go to Tools>Customize.

Select the Tab called Options.
-
De-select the choice that says "Menus Show Recently Used
Commands First."
-
Now you will always get the long menu.
-
You may want to look at other options in Tools>Customize.
