OPEN-ENDED QUESTION:  . Is the actual use of your whiteboard different from the intended use for which you originally obtained it? If so, please explain.

RESPONSES included several brief replies indicating this was not the case, and that boards were being used as expected.  Two respondents who did feel there was a discrepancy between actual and intended use mentioned utilizing the boards for distance learning.  Interestingly one person indicated less use for this purpose, while another was contemplating more distance use.

    " We originally expected to use it for more distance education and conferencing than we actually did."

    "No, we have used it for the purpose we had intended. If anything, at this point, we are contemplating the possibilities of videoconferencing which we hadn't realized could be done with the SmartBoard."

    . "During this first year of use, the whiteboard was supposed to have been evaluated at a certain grade level for Language Arts.  However it has remained in the library and is mostly used for group presentations."
