Note:
For those Masters Candidates in Texas who are also seeking Principal Certification, there is a program requirement to attend some state examination review sessions and practice exam sessions during the next to the last and the last semester.These are held on weekends.
Additional Principal Certification Requirements
Have a Master's Degree from an accredited institution
Have a minimum of two years classroom teaching experience
Have completed the appropriate administrative practicum/internship experience
Be recommended by the Certification Officer at Sam Houston State University to the State Board of Educator Certification
