I am the district director of HISD´s alternative and charter schools. I work with principals to develop effective programs for the alternative, disciplinary alternative, juvenile justice, charter, and contract schools. I assist principals with developing and school improvement plans. I work with content specialists to plan and deliver professional development to teachers and administrators. I am also an adjunct professor at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I teach graduate level students in the Educational Leeadership program. I am an instructor for Lorman Education Services and present one day training sessions for the company.

The doctoral program at Sam Houston reinforced my belief in myself that I am a capable individual who can overcome any obstacles in my path to achieve my goals. I was the first black female to complete the doctoral program. It also provided me with the opportunity to develop relationships with other committed individuals from other districts in Texas.
