Some labs involve colored solutions that are created by chemical reactions. Here are copper amine and copper oxide solutions. The far right is an experiment which determines the molecular weight of a vapor.
One of the more famous experiments that freshman perform is called a titration. The equipment used includes a burette and Erlenmeyer flask.
Safety goggles are, of course, required also.
