St. John's represented Texas at the Panasonic National Academic Challenge at Disney World in June 2000

St. John's (Team Texas) progressed to the semi-final round by winning the first round of competition against Virginia, CNMI, Nebraska, and New York.  In the semi-finals St. John's played Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Georgia, but lost to Illinois and Georgia. 

Chris Frankel, the St. John's captain, was named to the All-America Team from Region 2. For Pictures see the St. John's Web site.
